Getting Started with Gardening
To begin gardening, purchase a Gardening Kit from Clarabelle’s Cattlelog for 50 jellybeans. Once bought, tree plots and gardening trays will appear around your house: up to 10 spots for flowers and 8 for gag trees. You’ll start with a Tin Shovel and Small Watering Can. As you garden, you’ll earn points to upgrade your tools.
Plants grow at midnight Toontown Time (Pacific Time) based on activities done the previous day. Water your plants daily to prevent wilting. If the Speedy Garden Growth Silly Team is active, plants grow every 6 hours!
Tools: Shovels and Watering Cans
Shovels
Your shovel upgrades as you earn points by planting and picking flowers at your current maximum bean level. Each picked flower at max level gives +1 shovel point. Lower-level flowers don’t give points once you’ve advanced. Here’s the breakdown of required total points and shovel type for each bean combination level:

To fully max your Gold Shovel (beyond 8 beans for advanced statues), continue picking 8-bean flowers up to around 1280 points.
Watering Cans
Watering cans upgrade by earning points from watering plants (+1 point per successful watering, unless overwatered or using maxed Huge can on non-wilted plants). Higher cans provide more water per use, allowing plants to last longer without wilting and reviving from more days of wilt:
- Small (0 points): Provides +1 water level, revives 1 day of wilt, plants last 2-4 days fully watered.
- Medium (100 points): +2 water, revives 2 days, lasts 6-8 days.
- Large (200 points): +3 water, revives 3 days, lasts 10-12 days.
- Huge (400 points): +4 water, revives 4 days, lasts 14-16 days.
Points reset after each upgrade. Water plants 1-2 times after planting, then daily as needed.
Planting Flowers and Jellybean Combinations
Plant flowers by selecting “Plant” at a pot, then choosing jellybeans in the exact order for the desired flower. There are 40 unique flowers across 8 categories. Collect them all for trophies! Use the checkboxes below to tick off the ones you’ve grown.
Note: Flowers take days to grow based on bean count (e.g., 1-bean: 3 days, 8-bean: 16 days). Pick them for jellybeans (more for higher beans) and shovel points.

Gag Trees
Gag trees provide organic gags with bonuses: +10% damage (rounded down) for damage gags, +10% heal for Toon-Up, +10% accuracy for Lure. To plant:
- Unlock the gag in your track.
- Go to your Shticker Book gag page and select “Plant Tree” for that gag.
- Choose a tree plot (8 available).
Planting a level n gag requires a shovel that can handle n beans (costs n jellybeans). Trees take days to grow equal to the gag level (e.g., level 1: 3 days, level 7: 16 days). Water daily. Once grown, pick organic gags daily (up to your carry limit +1 organic). You can plant up to 8 trees, ideally one per desired organic gag.
Tip: Prioritize high-level gags in useful tracks like Sound or Drop.
Statues
Statues are decorative items bought from Clarabelle’s Cattlelog (series vary). Plant them in the designated gray pad area outside your house using special 10-bean combinations listed in your Shticker Book. Requires a Gold Shovel (at least 7-bean level, fully maxed for advanced statues). Statues don’t grow but appear immediately and can be sold back.
Examples: Mickey Statue, Donald Statue, etc. They add flair but no laff boosts.
Trophies and Laff Boosts
Earn trophies and +1 laff each for collecting every 10 unique flower species:
- 10 flowers: Wheelbarrow Trophy, +1 laff
- 20 flowers: Shovels Trophy, +1 laff
- 30 flowers: Watering Cans Trophy, +1 laff
- 40 flowers: Flower Trophy, +1 laff
Total: +4 laff. After 40 flowers, get the Treemendous Gardener Outfit! No extra laff from trees or statues.
Tips and Tricks
- Plant max-level flowers daily to grind shovel points (10 spots = 10 points/day).
- Water friends’ plants for watering points.
- Sell picked flowers at your wheelbarrow for jellybeans.
- Avoid overwatering; check the water meter.
- During Silly Meter events, choose Speedy Garden Growth for faster progress.
- Total points to max gardening: ~1199 shovel points (takes months daily).
- If wilted, revive with higher cans; wilted trees lose organic bonus until watered and recovered.
